"I Finally Discovered the Truth About Hemorrhoid Cures That Your Doctor Won't Tell You!"
Frank's Hemorrhoid Treatments
We appreciate Frank in Colorado, for his willingness to tell us about all the different hemorrhoid treatments he went through in his search for a hemorrhoid cure.
"Hello, folks. This is sort of a new experience for me. Out of the many job titles I've had over the years, 'hemorrhoid treatment coach' has certainly never been one of them!
As a long-time hemorrhoid sufferer, I went through countless treatments over the years, so I bring a certain perspective to the table. And when you're looking for information on all these different hemorrhoid treatments to see which one is best for you, I think it's helpful to hear from someone who has been through it all.
Where do I start? My hemorrhoids started so long ago that I can't even remember when I first got them. I had just become used to them after so many years, like they were always a part of me. So I can't really point to anything specific and say that's what caused my hemorrhoids. If you can avoid what causes them, that would be best, but for me, they were already a reality. I just wanted to get rid of them.
Most of the treatments I tried were over the counter creams and ointments. Frankly, I'm not even sure what the difference is between a cream and an ointment, but they do label them differently. Anyway, these are things you buy at a drugstore without a prescription, apply to the affected area, and hope for the best.
One of the big appeals of creams and ointments is the convenience and privacy. You can swing by a drugstore today and pick some up, and no one but the cashier has to know that you're suffering from hemorrhoids. Another thing is that they're presumably more effective than treatments like diet and exercise, because you're putting actual medicine on your anus. If it didn't work, they wouldn't be able to sell it, right?
Well, sort of. It's true that if a cream or ointment was completely ineffective, everyone would stop buying it and they would therefore stop selling it. But unfortunately, they work just well enough to stay in business, but without actually curing the hemorrhoids.
I say unfortunately because it would be better if they worked either better or worse. If they worked better, we'd have a solution on our hands. If they worked worse, we'd know there was no point in buying them. But at this awkward point in between, they keep people hooked on a long term expensive but largely ineffective treatment.
I did get some relief from the creams. It varied from one brand to the next, and their effectiveness actually seemed to vary from one period in time to the next. The problem, I think, is that they just provide temporary relief instead of treating the source of the problem.
It's like scratching. A scratch will stop the itching, but it won't stop what's causing the itching. If the cause of the itch goes away on its own, then scratching keeps you happy until then, and all is good. But if the itching comes back, then the scratching just gave you some temporary relief.
Temporary relief can be very expensive when you're talking about these ointments. If you try several different brands because you don't know how you're going to react to each one, and you try them long enough to see how they work, and you stay on the winners for a long time, the money really adds up.
I didn't like how I was dishing out all this money for temporary relief, while not really treating the problem. Fortunately, as I kept trying different things, I eventually came across a treatment that got rid of my hemorrhoids permanently. If you want to break the cycle of buying more and more creams, I'd definitely recommend it."
