"Anyway, thinking that my poor diet could have been contributing to my hemorrhoids symptoms, I decided to change what I was eating. I had already been eating what I thought was a decent amount of fruits and vegetables, but I started eating more of them and less starches.
I paid special attention to my fiber intake. Any food that was high in fiber became a part of my diet. And water intake is important too. Doctors say you should drink eight glasses a day, and that's just for average people. Since I was fighting hemorrhoids, I wanted to drink even more water to make sure I had enough fluids to wash away any unpleasant things inside me.
I really thought changing my diet had a good chance of reducing my hemorrhoid symptoms. I just think that we are what we eat, and proper nutrition does more for you than any medicine. And while I did eat better to be eating healthy, I have to say that it just didn't provide much hemorrhoid relief. I was disappointed, but I sure wasn't going to give up.
The next thing I tried was doing more exercise. Lack of exercise and a sedentary life style is such a big contributor to poor health, so I figured I'd have to conquer that challenge next for my best chances at getting rid of my hemorrhoids.
To be honest, I'm not a very active person, and I'm not the kind of gal who takes naturally to things like beach volleyball or rock climbing. But I figured there was surely some kind of exercise that even I would find tolerable.
I started with things like long walks and jogging. Later I took up bicycling, and found that I actually enjoyed it pretty well. And then when I took up aerobics, I thought I was doing really well. Unfortunately, for all my efforts, my hemorrhoids still remained.
Since my natural methods hadn't worked, I went back to medical hemorrhoid treatments. I had tried creams before, but this time I tried pills and suppositories. I wasn't crazy about trying these things, but I was just ready to try everything. When ever these things didn't work, I went to my doctor.
I had heard of the rubber band treatment, and my doctor said it might work for me. So I had the procedure. My doctor put a rubber band around it to cut off the blow flood. And it did work. Hemorrhoids are living tissue after all, and they can't live without a blood supply.
But while I thought my troubles were over, my hemorrhoids eventually came back. I didn't know what to do, but I ended up having the rubber band procedure again, with the same outcome. My doctor said I wasn't a good candidate for a hemorrhoidectomy, so I was just about out of ideas.
Then guess what happened? My friend told me about a different kind of treatment that had worked for her. I was skeptical at first, but also desperate for a cure, so I gave it a shot. Now, my hemorrhoids are gone!"
