Today we're featuring Warren in Texas, who's here to talk about how smoking exacerbated his hemorrhoids. Fortunately, he went on to find a hemorrhoid cure.
"I've been a smoker ever since high school. Actually, I started out with chewing tobacco, but fortunately I kicked that habit pretty soon. But yeah, I've been smoking cigarettes ever since then.
I've been smoking about two packs a day for most of this time. I know everyone's talking about how bad it is for you, but when you're hooked, you're hooked. Smoking really calms my nerves, takes the edge off, and so much more.
Would I like to quit? Sure, it would be nice. I don't know how it could happen. I tried the patch and it cut back my cravings a bit, but I still had to smoke. Though I know smoking's no good for you.
When I got hemorrhoids a few years ago, I wanted to know what had caused them so I could stop doing that. I learned that smoking is one of the things that can cause hemorrhoids and also make them worse if you already have them. It has to do with raising your blood pressure and causing bleeding in internal hemorrhoids by putting stress on the veins.
But you know, it's one thing to know that you should quit something. It's another thing to actually do it. I already knew that smoking was bad for you, but I tried to quit, and couldn't. Now I knew that it had either caused my hemorrhoids or at least was making them worse, but if I couldn't quit before, I couldn't quit then.
I wanted to see if there was a way I could get rid of my hemorrhoids without quitting smoking. Let's face it, you get used to a certain kind of lifestyle, and when you're set in your ways, you find it hard to change. While quitting smoking would be ideal, it wasn't realistic. So the next best thing was to find a way to treat my hemorrhoids while I continued to smoke cigarettes.
I had an old buddy who I knew had hemorrhoids before. He was just about the only person I could talk to about this. He didn't smoke as much as I did, but I thought that whatever worked for him might work for me. Anyway, he told me about his hemorrhoid cure, and I tried it myself. Worked like a charm!
