"I Finally Discovered the Truth About Hemorrhoid Cures That Your Doctor Won't Tell You!"
What Are Hemorrhoids?
If you're in need of a hemorrhoid cure, you know all too well about the swelling, burning, itching, and bleeding of hemorrhoids. But do you know what they actually are?
Hemorrhoids are also known as piles or, less commonly, emerods. (I can't even begin to list all the common misspellings such as hemorrhoids, hemroids, etc.) A hemorrhoid is tissue filled with blood vessels at the lower rectum. They're very common, and in fact millions of people suffer from them.
There's no simple answer as to what causes hemorrhoids, because there are many contributing factors. Hemorrhoids are not usually dangerous, but they're extremely annoying. They certainly interfere with your life, and they can be very painful.
For some people, hemorrhoids disappear naturally within a few days, without them having to do anything. But for many others, hemorrhoid symptoms last for years or even decades, despite their attempts at treating them.
External hemorrhoids are those which occur outside the body, on the anus. They're basically varicose veins, where the veins in question are those which return blood from the arteries of the lower rectum. They give you all the nasty and painful symptoms we associate with hemorrhoids: swelling, burning, itching, and bleeding. A thrombosed hemorrhoid is when a vein ruptures.
Internal hemorrhoids are those which occur inside the body. They're basically varicose veins, where the veins in question are those which return blood from the arteries of the upper rectum. Fortunately, there are no pain receptors up there, so if you have internal hemorrhoids, you might not even know it.
However, even internal hemorrhoids can cause bleeding. Worse, if left untreated, they can worsen into prolapsed hemorrhoids and strangulated hemorrhoids, which can be very severe.
Prolapsed hemorrhoids are when the hemorrhoid becomes so swollen that it actually becomes external. Even more severe is a strangulated hemorrhoid, where the anal sphincter muscle spasms and cuts off the blood flow to a prolapsed hemorrhoid.
Here's a very simple and common method for describing the severity of internal hemorrhoids:
Grade I: The hemorrhoid does not prolapse (protrude outside the anus)
Grade II: The hemorrhoid prolapses during defecation, but automatically reduces afterwards
Grade III: The hemorrhoid prolapses during defecation, and has to be manually reduced
Grade IV: The hemorrhoid is chronically prolapsed and cannot be reduced
Hemorrhoid treatment varies from simple but usually ineffective methods, all the way up to potentially effective but risky surgery. Fortunately, I've found a much better way to treat them.
